Mark Millar is a Civil Engineer, who builds large piles of dirt. Very large ones. Some say it was the largesse of those piles of dirt that got him into riding the hallowed grounds of the Spruit in about 2007, when he got bored of rock climbing and moved onto motorbikes and bicycles. Mark has been riding DH since 2010-ish, and competed in his first race at Pretoria’s infamous 139 track in 2011. Mark’s strengths come from many an idle afternoon of dirt jumping at the Scouthall jumps in Bryanston after work, and from being extremely calculated and well researched in all he does. This means he usually stays upright, and this has led to him being highly competitive in the Sub-Vets class over the last few years. In fact he loved riding in KZN so much, he packed in the rat race and moved to Howick a year ago.

Mark will be racing in the 35 – 39 age group, and he reckons Top 3 Achievements in riding are:

1. SA Sub Vet Champ 2014

2. 1st Sub Vet at the Malelane Invitational in 2013

3. 9th in the 30 – 34 Masters World Cup 2013

Mark’s current DH shredding beastie is a 2015 Morewood 27.5 (aka the Snot Rocket)
